Drake and Nicki Minaj are two of Lil Wayne’s prodigy’s who are beginning to dominate the hip hop scene. Drake recently signed with Young Money, a previously unsigned artist that had a song with Trey Songz ‘Replacement Girl’ before teaming up with Lil Wayne. Currently ripping it up musically Drake is a hott and talented rapper with unique and witty lyrics matched up with a bewildering ability to variate his voice. I personally love Drake’s voice and his voice’s flexibility between singing and rapping. If you are to compare his vocal sounds compare the songs ‘A Night Off’ where he sings as well as in ‘Brand New’ and compare his vocals to ‘Forever’ and ‘What you want’ where he raps. I also love his same pouting pose :P and his laid back attitude evident in different interviews. Grown from the role of Jimmy from Degrassi to this independent self earnt title of new talent Drake is definitely one of my favourite rappers out right now. Think Sydney! lets bring Drake to Sydney! He recently went to GQ ‘Man of the year’ accompanied by Nicki Minaj, both looking adorable I think they are such a cute duo.
Now with previous female rappers such as Eve, Trina and Queen Latifah there seems to be a current deficit in female rappers doing their thing in the scene. But have no fear because the Barbie Bitch Nicki Minaj is here to represent. Nicki Minaj is a sick rapper that has a madd rapping voice with unique rapping tones supported by awesome metaphorical lyrics. Known as the barbie bitch Nicki Minaj is one of two females signed with Young Money (other is Shanelle) that has taken on the rapping scene by storm and is doing a great job at ripping it up.
